Simulering har potential som ett billigt komplement till andra metoder för utvärdering av aktiva säkerhetssystem.)Abstract: The main objective of this pre-study is to define the precise scope and objective for a larger project in the area of quantitative driver behaviour modelling. A further objective is to coordinate with, and establish links to, other relevant national and international initiatives. The pre-study will deliver a state-of-the-art review, a definition of key target scenarios, and a full proposal for a project. (The driver behaviour models to be developed in the envisioned main QUADRA project are intended as a component in simulation tools for simulated assessment of, in particular, active safety systems, both in traffic safety benefits assessment and as part of the industrial design process. Simulation has a potential for providing a low-cost complement to other active safety assessment methods.)
