Abstract: This project will be carried out within the framework of IEA – AMF (International Energy Agency – Advanced Motor Fuels) and will be financed through contribution from member states and possibly also from other stakeholders (such as vehicle industry). The first step of the project consists of a literature survey including a road map for activities to be followed. The literature study will be presented at the next ExCo-meeting (Executive Committee) taking place in Bangkok, Thailand November 17-20, 2009. At the meeting, next step of the project will be decided upon. At the ExCo-meeting in Helsinki (May 26-28, 2009) two proposals was presented by the Swedish delegate. 1. Possibilities to Improve Diesel Dual Fuel (DDF) Concepts for use in Heavy Duty Vehicles 2. Improved Durability Performance for Heavy Duty Emission Control Concepts Using Gaseous Fuel The proposal was discussed and some modification was requested by the Delegates. The two proposals could preferably be merged into one proposal and start with a literature survey. The project should preferably give an overview of available gas concept and not only DDF concepts. Further, the durability of the emission control concept should be thoroughly investigated. This project proposal comprises the revised proposal for a literature study. It was however decided by the Delegates that a new Annex (number XXXIX) should be introduced.
