- Kunskap och material till grund för framtida diskussioner kring EU-projekt inklusive standardiseringar och förändrade provmetoder för utvärdering av landsvägsbussars passiva säkerhetsnivå.Abstract: The goal with this project proposal is to (1) develop internal evaluation methods and relevant criteria for the two most important sub-parts of coach frontal crashworthiness; driver/coach protection and coach-to-car compatibility and to (2) develop new weight effective conceptual solutions for future coach front structures. The work will be expected to lead to definition of future EU project proposals and, on the long run, to new standards.
- A set of relevant load cases for physical tests and numerical simulations of frontal crashworthiness of coaches, with focus on driver/coach protection and coach-to car compatibility.
