Subject(s): Online resources: Abstract: Projektet är uppdelat i flera faser s.k. WP (work package). Abstract: The overall objective of the proposed project is to develop criteria for manufacturing and design of structures of self-compacting concrete with good fire spalling properties. The methodology will mainly be experimental and focused on the effect of different parameters on the fire spalling. Factors to be studied are the influence of concrete age, moisture content, specimen geometry, load configuration, type and amount of filler, amount of fibres and fire load. Since full scale testing is very time consuming and expensive, a small or intermediate scale test procedure shall be developed and compared with results from full scale tests. The main result from the project will be a design guidance for manufacturing of self-compacting concrete with good fire spalling resistance. The project is divided in five work packages (WP). The first WP had the objective to develop a test methodology for determination of risk for spalling of concrete exposed to fire. This work has been finalized. WP 2 is focused on the manufacturing of self-compacting concrete and includes a documentation on how to produce self-compacting concrete with polypropylene fibres. WP 3 contains the main fire test program. WP 4 deals with the durability of concrete containing fibres of polypropylene. WP 5 include the analysis and modelling of the data collected during the testing phase and development of a guideline for self-compacting concrete with good fire spalling properties. WP 6 include dissemination of results.
