Important goals are to study the reduction possibility using softer switching, preferably with a minimum of switching loss increase. Moreover investigate methods of appropriate component placement in order to reduce the emissions. To design and build experimental circuits as well as to conduct verifying measurements is furthermore a very important aim in the project. The project also targets to strengthen vehicle electronics at academies and produce a Ph.D. within EMI reduction from switched power converters, to improve information exchange between the participating companies and bring knowledge and results to the industry. The contributions with the present project objectives may be summarized as: Knowledge about EM generation from converters in general Knowledge about possibilities to reduce EM disturbances from switched power converters
