Subject(s): Abstract: Syfte och mål: Att i samverkan mellan relevanta aktörer identifiera utvecklingsområden i infrastruktur och fordon med syfte att minska antalet viltolyckor. Detta kan brytas ned i två delar: (1) identifiera lovande existerande infrastrukturella ITS åtgärder och förarstödssystem med syftet att minska antalet viltolyckor. (2) föreslå potentiella utvecklingsområden för infrastrukturella ITS åtgärder och förarstödssystem med syfte att minska antalet viltolyckor. Även automation beaktas. Förväntade effekter och resultat: I projektet förväntar vi oss att identifiera förarstödssystem och infrastrukturella ITS åtgärder som kan bidra till att minska antalet viltolyckor i dagens och framtidens transportsystem. En viktig del är att identifiera utvecklingsområden. Detta är en förstudie med målet att identifiera lovande inriktningar på fortsatt forskning. Målet är att resultaten i denna studie ska mynna ut i ett mer omfattande projekt som på lång sikt ska bidra till att nya typer av system kommer ut på marknaden som kan bidra till att minska antalet viltolyckor på våra vägar. Upplägg och genomförande: Projektet är en förstudie som är tänkt att genomföras som ett samverkansprojekt som fokuserar på samspel mellan det ekologiska perspektivet (Trafikverket/ VTI, Nationella Viltolycksrådet), det fordonstekniska perspektivet (fordonstillverkare, sensorutveckling, mjukvaruutveckling) och det vägtekniska systemet inklusive sidoområden och underhållsåtgärder. Detta förväntas göras genom en mindre litteraturstudie, en omvärldsanalys, individuella intervjuer med relevanta aktörer samt 1-2 workshops.Abstract: Purpose and goal: The goal is to, in cooperation between relevant actors, identify infrastructural ITS and driver support systems aiming at a reduction of the number of accidents with wild animals that are in need of further development by: (1) identify promising existing infrastructural ITS measures and driver support systems with the aim of reducing the number of accidents with wild animals. (2) suggest potential development areas for infrastructural ITS measures and driver support systems with aim of reducing the number of accidents with wild animals. Automation is also taken into account. Expected results and effects: In the project, we expect to identify driver support systems and infrastructural ITS measures that can contribute to reducing the number of accidents with wild animals in today´s and future transport systems. An important part is to identify areas of development. This is a pre-study with the goal to identify promising directions for future research. The results of this study can be the foundation to a more comprehensive project which, in the long term, may contribute to new types of systems on the market, which can contribute to reducing the number of wildlife accidents on our roads. Approach and implementation: The project is a pre-study that is intended to be carried out as a collaborative project that focuses on interplay between the ecological perspective (Trafikverket/ VTI, Nationella Viltolycksrådet), the vehicle engineering perspective (vehicle manufacturers, sensor development, software development) and the road engineering system including side areas and maintenance measures. This is expected to be done through a small literature study, an international outlook, individual interviews with relevant actors and 1-2 workshops.
