Abstract: The project Demonstrator is a co-financing of the project EWTC II and a part in a future build-up of competence of ITS-applications. This projects starting-point is in a basic build-up for the need of visualizing different kinds of ITS simulations, e.g.: What will happen if you think/do not think from an environmental aspect? The project is aiming at demonstrating and above all visualizing what will happen in a specific scenario. The project result will be presented at the ITS-World Congress 2009 for the first time. Furthermore the project will in a simple way be able to show what will happen whether you drive in an environmental conscious way or if you drive in a way that is harmful to the environment. The Demonstrator is expected to be a part of the project Green Corridors. One area that needs to be strengthened is advanced application examples, which includes development of a decision support application and this is planned to be developed together with BTH. The development phase that NetPort.Karlshamn has entered is aiming at taking a national responsibility for developing a research center within the area e-transactions. The effect by using ITS will result in various savings. These savings almost always result in less transport need and this means environmental improvement. This work is already today developed in close cooperation with the industry in order to develop services and to strengthen the competitiveness of the industry/transport sector. In the framework for existing projects there is an industrial cooperation on national but also on European level. This project will be managed in cooperation with already established industrial frameworks.
