Abstract: Projektets resultat förväntas kunna nyttiggöras i en kommande fullstudie, med demonstrationer hos medverkande partners. Resultat av fullstudien skall förhoppningsvis ge kollektivtrafikbranschen ytterligare ett verktyg för att fördubbla sin marknadsandel och bidra till reducerad klimatpåverkan, även i de länder där 2-3 hjulsfordon utgör mer betydande inslag i trafikmiljön.Abstract: In a sustainable society we need to reduce car commuting and increase the use of public transport. Combined solutions such as park-and-ride are needed to increase area coverage the last miles. This feasibility study aims to produce new knowledge and technology , one of many tools for doubling of the public transport market share. The study will define user needs, and suitable design of park-and-ride for small electric vehicles (2-3 wheelers). The issue of an ideal design of vehicles shall be studied as well as parking/charging stations and security problems. The results of the project are expected to be utilized in an upcoming full demonstration study at participating partners. The results of the full study will hopefully give the public transport sector another tool to help double its market share and contribute to a reduction of climate impacts, also in countries where 2-3 wheelers are dominant in the traffic environment.
