Abstract: Resultatet med projektet förväntas bli att 3-4 av CPMs medlemsföretag har implementerat och utvärderat användningen av ett verktyg som påvisar transporternas hela kostnadsbild då även de externa kostnaderna räknas in. Verktygets utformning och detaljnivå kommer att definieras i nära samarbete med företagen under projektets gång. Själva läro- och implementeringsprocessen är viktiga delar av projektet. Genom projektet får de medverkande företagen hjälp från högskolans experter inom området som sannolikt blir till lika stor nytta som själva verktyget. Abstract: The project aims at develop and implement a system for calculation of external costs from transports that are accepted and used in the internal planning- and environmental communication processes at some of CPMs ("Competence Centre for Environmental Assessment of Product and Material Systems") member companies. The goal is to reach acceptance and reliability for the method and the data used, not only by environmental staff, but also by logisticians, transport planners and management.
The expected results is the 3-4 of CPMs member companies has implemented and evaluated the use of a tool that shows the entire costs from transporting goods including external costs. The design and level of detail of the tool will be defined in close cooperation with the companies in the project. One important part of the project are the educational- and the implementation processes. Through participating in the project will the companies get help from the University´s experts in the field and this will probably be almost as valuable as the tool itself.
