Abstract: Projektet syftar till att utveckla en ny teknisk plattform som möjliggör ett spillvärmedrivet luftkonditioneringssystem för fartyg. Den totala energibesparingspotentialen för tillämpningen uppskattas till 0,3 TWh per år. I slutet av projektet ska en småskalig prototyp kunna testas i laboratoriemiljö.Abstract: In this applied research project, Alfa Laval together with ClimateWell will develop a new technology platform that enables a waste heat-driven air conditioning system for ships. The concepts is built on Alfa Laval’s plate heat exchanger technology combined with integration of ClimateWell’s patented sorption technology based on their unique salt matrix. The total energy saving potential for the application is estimated to 6 TWh per year, equivalent to globally 6 million tons less CO2 per year. The main deliverable is a small-scale prototype to be tested in Alfa Laval’s lab in Lund.
