Abstract: Syfte och mål: Projektets allmänna mål är att utvärdera möjligheten att påverka förarens visuella beteende (visual behaviour) mot en reduktion av kritiskt långa ögonkast ifrån vägen.
Förväntade effekter och resultat: Resultaten kan leda till world-first produkter och Sverigetillverkning. Produkternas användning kan bli kritiska på vägen mot noll döda och svårt skadade.
Planerat upplägg och genomförande: Målet uppfylles med en FOT med tio bilar utrustade med en prototypsensor som mäter om eller inte ögonen är riktade mot vägen. Behandlingen (treatment) består av en distraktionsvarning som utvecklas, implementeras och utvärderas i projektet. Datan kommer att användas i studier relaterade till risk samt beteende. Kameraspecifikationerna möjliggör en senare utvecklingsfas ämnad för serieproduktion. Projektet består av fyra delar: (2013) Ram och förberedelse (2014) Distraktionsvarning (2014) FOT (2015) Analys och dissemination.Abstract: Objective and Goal: The overall aim of the project is to evaluate the possibility to influence the driver´s visual behaviour toward a reduction of critically long glances away from the road. Result and Expected Effects: The results of the project may lead to world first automotive products manufactured in Sweden. These products may be critical on the road to zero numbers of severe injuries and fatalities. Approach and Implementation: The aim will be achieved by means of a FOT with ten cars equipped with a prototype sensor measuring whether or not there are eyes directed towards the road. Treatment consists of a distraction warning developed, implemented and evaluated during the project. The data will be used in extensive risk and behavioural studies.
