Abstract: The purpose of this research project is to develop a model to risk map stretches of road vulnerable to a rising groundwater table and, hereby, improve and supplement already known research on the consequence of climate change to future road management. The rising groundwater table will, in several areas, reach terrain proximity levels where this can compromise the structural integrity of the road construction and, moreover, cause the surrounding hydrological catchment area to become less capable of draining precipitation which, in turn, will increase the likelihood of flooding near or on the road.
