Abstract: Bygga upp en databas över MUTP som summerar ett antal nyckelfaktorer rörande planering, prestanda och effekt som ska möjliggöra jämförande analyser och erfarenhetsutbyte.

Bygga och vidmakthålla ett nätverk för experter på beslutsfattande inför framtida MUTP utveckling.Abstract: The aim of the project OMEGA is to study and evaluate Mega Urban Transport Projects (MUTP), with regard to the effects they have on restructuring in cities, regions, countries and international regions. The focus is on how complex decisions are made and which implications they have on the local and global level. A special focus will be on how aspects of sustainability in a broad sense are handled (or are not handled) in decision making.
Build a database of MUTPs which summarizes a number of key factors regarding planning, characteristics and effects, which will facilitate comparative analysis and exchange of experience.
Build new knowledge about decision making in planning, assessment and evaluation of MUTPs through the use of `story-line´ methodology.
Develop new general and context specific decision tools for planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of MUTPs with a focus on complexity, risk uncertainty and challenges connected to sustainability.
Build and maintain a network of experts on decision making for the future development of MUTPs.
