Abstract: Fly Green Fund (FGF). There is a big challenge as to allow the establishment of bio-fuels for commercial aviation. One of the major challenges is that it means higher cost for biofuel. Today biofuel is 3-4 times more expensive than ordinary jet fuel and the additional cost is a barrier to increasing the usage of biofuel. There is a need to finance the additional cost of fuel. One solution might be an idea that we call Fly Green Fund (FGF). FGF is a fund to which companies, public organizations and individuals contribute money that is then used to pay the difference between normal jet fuel and biofuel. The hypothesis is that FGF is an important piece of the puzzle to get the consumption started of biofuels. The risk is otherwise that biofuel remaining in the tanks at Karlstad Airport. Within the scope of the R&D application we includeto identify financing for the more expensive biofuel, the development of the idea with Fly Green Fund (FGF) and create conditions for a well planned and worked through the start of FGF. This includes a range of factors such as ownership structure, law, business model, received among customers, identifying market position.
