Subject(s): Abstract: Referensgruppsplats i forskningssamarbetet "SAFER". A).Abstract: SAFER connects partners that together have a broad understanding and together can enhance traffic safety through different, complimentary contributions. By performing collaborative, multi-disciplinary research across organisational borders, world class expertise and research infrastructure will be developed. New and sometimes ground-breaking findings will be implemented faster in all aspects of society, government policy, industrial applications and educational programmes. SAFER develops a unique identity with clear values such as openness, respect for each other, curiosity and joy of discovery. Creativity is a hallmark and thrives on diversity in all aspects and borderless networks seeking and attracting expertise where it is to be found. SAFER facilitates these networking activities through the identification of four research areas with associated reference groups. These are: Traffic Safety Analysis, Pre-Crash, Crash, Post-Crash. Processes are developed for project initiation and execution, quality assurance and information sharing. SAFER grows by using its own resources as “seed funding” in chosen Focus Topics. This creates results which attract external research funding, new partners and excellent researchers.
