Under en tre-årsperiod kommer företag, universitet och högskolor, forskningsinstitut och myndigheter att samarbeta för att göra Skagerrak- och Kattegattregionen till en föregångare i omställningen till miljövänlig sjöfart. Projektet omfattar 16 deltagare från olika regioner, kommuner, universitet, högskolor, maritima utbildningcentra och nätverk inom sjöfarten i Sverige, Norge och Danmark. Visionen är att skapa ett område utan skadliga utsläpp till luft och vatten från sjöfarten och samtidigt ett globalt konkurrenskraftig maritimt kluster.Abstract: Markis (Maritime Competence and Innovation Cooperation in the Skagerrak and Kattegat) is a 3 year project supported by the EU Interreg IVA Ôresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak Programme. Over a three-year period businesses, research and education institutions and public authorities will work together to make the Skagerrak and Kattegat region a global frontrunner in the conversion to green shipping. The project involves 16 partners from regions, municipalities, universities, colleges, maritime education centers and maritime networks in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. The vision is to create a maritime region with zero harmful emissions to air and water from shipping and a globally competitive maritime cluster.
