Parallellt kommer tillverkningsmetoderna att utvecklas. Nilar har lång erfarenhet inom batteriteknik och baserar sina lösningar på beprövad NiMH-teknik. Nilar och Scania har genomfört en första gemensamt utvecklingsprojektet där Nilar batteri lösningar har testats. Parterna planerar nu att gå vidare med ett utvecklingsprojekt för förbättrad prestanda. Abstract: Nilar has teamed up with Scania to develop hybrid technology for heavy duty vehicles such as trucks and buses. The battery pack and associated systems are central for implementation of hybrid technology. Nilar has long experience in battery technology and base their solutions on proven NiMH technology. Nilar and Scania have performed a first joint development project where Nilar battery solutions have been tested. The parties now intend to move forward with a development project towards improved performance. The project includes the development and testing of an ESS (Energy Storage System) intended to be integrated into series-produced heavy duty vehicles. In parallel, the manufacturing methods will be developed. The project is scheduled for 2011-2012.
