Abstract: Projektet syftar till att ta fram kunskapsunderlag för att utveckla teknik som kostnadseffektivt ger väsentligt lägre förbrukning på personbilar.
Målet med detta projekt är att;
1. Genomföra förstudier på ett flertal tänkbara CO2 tekniker med potential att sänka förbrukningen upp till 50 %.
2. Att utvärdera och specifiera ett koncept för framtida utveckling till en demo.Abstract: The car industry is facing an enormous challenge in order to convert from a fossil based energy to a long-term sustainable solution. The conversion will not happen in a single step but gradually with a wide range of powertrain solutions adapted to the requirements of the customers. One of the strongest candidates as tomorrow's technology is electrification of the powertrain. However, this technology is not the only possible solution and it might not be the right choice for all customers. In this project alternative hybridization including radical improvements of the powertrain will be studied. Among potential technologies are mechanical and hydraulic hybrids, sequential use of cylinders,waste heat recovery, and alternative transmissions and control to mention a few. During the project potential technologies will be designed and demonstrated. This project is a think tank for technologies for 2020 and a continuation of existing projects within VCC PT.
