Abstract: The biogas plant, referred to as Vadsbo biogas plant, will produce, upgrade, and distribute biogas to end customers or third parties. Triventus AB has chosen to focus on several areas that have been assesses to have technical potential for both development and competitiveness to manage the available resources optimally. Vadsbo biogas plant is biogas production with focus on agricultural needs. This means that agricultural residues, mostly liquid manure that are approved by KRAV’s regulations are used. The concept is based on optimized biogas production from manure while the operating cost is reduced by pumping of manure and alternative heating with a wood chip furnace. It is therefore desirable to automatically control and regulate the process in order to get a safe and efficient operation, while gas production is optimized according to selected organic loading rate. The biogas is upgraded to vehicle fuel for distribution to end customers or third parties. The project is expected to contribute to increased production, distribution and use of at least 20.8 GWh of vehicle fuel. The concepts total indirect and direct impact is a reduction in CO2 equivalents and NO3 equivalents by approximately 270 tons and 23 tons respectively. The total investment for Vadsbo biogas plant is considered to be approximately 63.5 million SEK. The biggest cost is for buildings, technology, upgrading unit, ground works and a sanitation unit. The difference between conventional biogas production and Vadsbo biogas plant is considered to be the extra costs. This extra cost is 13 540 000 SEK.
