Abstract: Projektet CLEANTRUCK syftar till att demonstrera hur koldioxidutsläpp och andra emissioner från godstransportsektorn kan minskas genom att introducera nya tekniker bl a förnybara bränslen i tunga distributionsfordon för stadsdistribution. Projektet kommer att samla en rad aktörer och för första gången i stor skala demonstrera lastbilar som drivs av förnybara drivmedel. Projektet prövar också innovationer som kvävefyllda däck, återvunnen koldioxid som kylmedium i lastbilar mm.Abstract: The primary objective of CLEANTRUCK is to demonstrate how reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and other air pollution from the road freight transport sector can be achieved by introduction of new techniques to urban goods distribution trucks. CLEANTRUCK will bring together a wide range of stakeholders to conduct large-scale demonstrations of new truck techniques and utilise existing state-of-the-art sustainable biofuels for the first time in trucks, in combination with innovations such as Heavy Eco-Driving for drivers, use of nitrogen to inflate tyres and recycled CO2 as a refrigerant. Apart from the direct effect, it is assumed that CLEANTRUCK will be reproduced in other cities, thereby indirectly leading to significant effects on energy consumption and emissions from freight traffic.
