Subject(s): Abstract: Projektets syfte är att utveckla en elmaskinsprototyp för fordonstillämpning för att fördjupa kompetensen inom sambandet mellan elmaskin, kraftelektronik och styrning. Dessutom förväntas testning och validering skapa kunskap om elmaskins prestanda, förluster och analys av mekanisk påverkan. Fördjupade kunskaper om elektriska maskiner är nödvändigt för att utveckla driftsäkra och effektiva elektriska drivsystem för framtidens hybridteknologi. En fördelaktig metod att nå målet är genomförandet av konstruktion, byggnation och utvärdering av en prototypmaskin i laboratoriemiljö.Abstract: Deep knowledge on electrical machines is essential for the development of reliable drive systems for future hybrid technology. An advantageous method to achieve this goal is identified in the design and manufacturing of a prototype for laboratory testing. An in-house prestudy has investigated a possible machine design for automotive applications. This project will provide increased competence on machine design and thermal modelling, which will be validated from measured data. Furthermore, manufacturing aspects of electrical machines and possible new technical solutions will be investigated. The relation between different control strategies and the machine performance and losses will be analysed. A relevant aspect of the project is the machine testing by the identification and verification of test-protocols for permanent magnet machines. The effects of mechanical stresses will be included.
