Subject(s): Abstract: Projektet syftar till att minska emissioner och bränsleförbrukning från direktinsprutade dieselmotorer genom förbättrad transientreglering. Målet är att få en mer optimal insprutningsstrategi baserat på återkoppling av cylindertryck NOx och partiklar från mätdata och/eller modeller.Abstract: Due to the more stringent emissions legislations a number of projects adressing the combusion processes in heavy duty engines have been performed during the last 15 years. The next step is to introduce these findings into control of the engines. The present project aims at applying previous, and current findings from parallell projects, into a closed loop combusiton control of a HD diesel engine. The control will be based on known control techniques (parameter adaptive contro, on-line optimization, iterative learning control, etc). Two submodels will be introduced, one which is detailed and to be used for generating data for ECU and/or online calc within ECU. The second model should be optimised for fast on-line calucation to be implemented into ECU and be able to perform cycle to cycle feed back.
