Subject(s): Abstract: Li-jonbatterier är den mest lovande tekniken idag för energilagring i hybrid- och laddhybridfordon men livslängden är fortfarande osäker och beroende på många faktorer. Då batteriet är den enskild dyraste komponenten i ett elhybridfordon påverkar dess livslängd hela fordonets ekonomiska förutsättningar. Detta projekt syftar till att utveckla forskningen kring modellering av batterilivslängden för Li-jonbatterier.Abstract: The use of hybrid electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles may reduce the fuel consumption of heavy-duty vehicles significantly. These new vehicle types needs an energy storage in order recuperate brake energy and, in the case of plug-in operation, to store electric energy for propulsion. From a strict performance point of view the Li-ion battery is the most promising type, but the cyclelife of this battery is still uncertain and dependant on a number of factors. Since the battery in most cases is the single most expensive component, its cyclelife affects the overall economical feasibility of the vehicle. This aim of this project is to extend and intensify the modelling work on Li-ion battery cyclelife that have been started in an ongoing cooperation between AB Volvo, Scania AB, Uppsala University, The Royal University of Technology and Chalmers University of Technology.
