Abstract: VTI:s medverkan i projektet omfattar både experimentella studier, där VTI:s avancerade körsimulator kommer att användas för att studera effekter av kombinationen droger och trötthet på körbeende, och fältstudier där den faktiska förekomsten av psykoaktiva substanser ute på våra vägar skall observeras. Detta kommer sedan att ställas i relation till förekomsten av dessa substanser hos förare inblandade i olyckor. VTI håller även i en del som syftar till att studera orsakerna bakom varför folk kör under påverkan. - Kunskap om effekterna av alkohol, droger och mediciner på förarbeteende. - Rekommendationer om lämpliga gränsvärden för de vanligast förekommande preparaten. - Information av förekomsten av de vanligaste preparaten bland förarpopulationen. - Förekomst av dessa droger bland olycksinblandade förare vilket ger ett mått på risk. - Information om de bakomliggande orsakerna till varför folk kör påverkade.

This will be compared to the prevalence of substances of drivers involved in accidents. VTI is also responsible for a part that aims at studying the underlying factors to why people are driving when intoxicated. - Knowledge on the effects of drugs and medicines on driver behaviour. - Recommendations on suitable legal limits for the most commonly used substances - Information on the prevalence of the most commonly used substances on the roads - The prevalence of these drugs among accident involved drivers. - Information on the underlying factors to why people are driving when intoxicated.
